Superintendent’s Message

Dear Dover Tigers,
As we prepare to welcome our students and staff back for the 2026–2027 school year, I want to thank everyone who has worked throughout the summer to prepare our schools for another successful year.
Our teams have been busy improving our buildings, preparing classrooms, developing programs, strengthening student supports, and continuing the work necessary to open Dover Bridge Academy. At the same time, our administrators have worked together to prepare for the academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and attendance needs of our students.
This year, our district will focus on three important priorities:
- Strengthening teaching and learning to improve student achievement.
- Implementing our MTSS framework to ensure students receive the academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional support they need.
- Strengthening family and community engagement by creating more opportunities for our families to participate, communicate, and partner with our schools.
Our theme for this year is Connecting With Purpose.
We believe strong schools are built on strong relationships. Every student should feel seen, supported, and connected. Every family should feel welcomed and valued. And every staff member should understand the important role they play in helping our students succeed.
As we begin this new school year, I am excited about what lies ahead. We have new opportunities, stronger systems, and an incredible community working together toward a common purpose.
Thank you to our staff, families, students, Board of Education, and community partners for your continued support and commitment to Dover Public Schools.
Together, we will continue moving Dover forward by Connecting With Purpose.
Go Tigers!
Luis Jaime
