Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, Dover Public Schools will use Amira Learning to support all K–6 students in reading. Amira is a digital reading platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that listens to children read aloud, provides real-time feedback, and helps teachers better understand each student’s reading progress.
What Amira Does
- Provides personalized, research-based reading practice in fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and decoding
Amira Family Letter
- Gives teachers detailed insights to tailor instruction and track growth over time.
- Offers guided reading sessions, interactive practice, and periodic assessments to monitor progress

How Families Will See Progress
Parents will receive Amira progress reports that include:
- ARM Score (Amira Reading Mastery) – shows the estimated grade level of reading ability.
- ORF (Oral Reading Fluency) – measures words read correctly per minute.
- Progress Graphs & Subscores – visual displays of growth and specific reading strands.
Access at Home
Students can access Amira Reading from school or home by logging in with their Clever account.
iReady Math

Explore i-Ready Math (K–6)
i-Ready is an online program that supports mathematics instruction for grades K–6. Students take diagnostic assessments that pinpoint their strengths and areas for growth, then receive personalized lessons designed to meet their individual needs.
